You can start the ASN program during either the Fall or Spring trimesters. We intentionally keep our classes small, with a maximum cohort size of 25 students. This small class size allows for personalized instruction, direct access to our simulation labs, and closer mentorship from our experienced nursing faculty.

The Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is primarily an in-person program. While you may be able to complete some general education or prerequisite courses online, the core nursing curriculum requires hands-on, physical attendance.

You will need to be on-campus in Tampa for your simulation labs and at local AdventHealth facilities for your clinical rotations to ensure you are fully prepared for direct patient care.

Yes, earning your Associate of Science in Nursing is an excellent stepping stone to pursuing your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Once you graduate from the ASN program and pass the NCLEX-RN, you can easily transition into our Online RN-to-BSN program.

Many of our graduates choose to start working as licensed RNs within the AdventHealth network while simultaneously completing their BSN online.

Admission to the Associate of Science in Nursing program is highly competitive. Because we intentionally cap our Tampa daytime cohort at 25 seats, meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the program. All applications are reviewed after the application closes, and admission decisions typically take up to 6 weeks to be issued. We also offer conditional admission for up to 5 seats per intake at the Tampa campus.
