Resources
AHU Online offers students access to top-quality resources, in addition to connection with our expert-level faculty. Resources available to every online student include:
R.A. Williams Library
The R.A. Williams Library offers students access to online databases for research, electronic journals, AdventHealth University Archive, and the library’s collection of books and other materials.
Writing Center
The University Writing Center is here to help you communicate your ideas, whether they are in the form of a well-designed poster, a sharply edited video, a carefully crafted speech, or a clearly written paper. Students are encouraged to contact the Writing Center for help on planning, drafting, and revising communication in any form.
Tutoring
Individual and group tutoring sessions are available, for free, to online students. Tutoring can help you feel more empowered in your studies by giving you the encouragement, tools, and knowledge you need to succeed. Tutoring is available by appointment from both professional and peer tutors.
Counseling
E-therapy is available for online and campus students over real-time chat or email. Therapy and counseling can help with relationship issues, self-esteem concerns, career or life questions, grief, and academics. Counseling is available for free. You can schedule an appointment by emailing counseling@my.ahu.edu.
Disability Services
AHU Online is committed to offering an exceptional and equitable education for every student. If you have a documented disability, you are invited to register with the Office for Students with Disabilities after your acceptance to the program to receive disability-related services and accommodations. Accommodations are granted to students on a case-by-case basis, based on documentation.
Chaplains
AHU Online’s wholistic approach to healthcare education means addressing a student’s spiritual health, as well as his or her emotional and academic needs. Chaplains are available to online students to listen, pray, laugh, or cry.
24/7 Help Desk
Having tech trouble? Support is available at all times from our Help Desk. You can submit a ticket, read self-help articles to troubleshoot the issue yourself, connect with us over live chat, or give us a call.
Financial Aid
Financial aid is available to eligible students. To see if you qualify for aid, you need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the AdventHealth University (AHU) Financial Aid Application. Students who are enrolled in degree-granting programs on an at least a part-time basis and who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents may receive aid. To get started, visit How to Apply for Financial Aid.
